A work of great art
Founded in 1840, Maison Dourthe has nurtured a passion for viticulture, respecting the uniqueness of terroirs and grape varieties, while adopting a creative and bold approach to blending. Its Grande Cuvée invites wine lovers to discover the best Bordeaux appellations through wines rooted in a commitment to quality and a deep understanding of the vineyard.
A flagship of the supermarket range, La Grande Cuvée required a more premium repositioning, as well as a communication campaign to support its commercial growth.
The approach, with open and honest dialogue between the client and the agency, and shared convictions: to highlight La Grande Cuvée brand while keeping the Dourthe signature more discreet, and to capitalise on specific quality markers. The communication, particularly in billboard advertising, had to focus on impact.
The illustration of the iron grille, which forms part of La Grande Cuvée’s identity, has been carefully preserved and enhanced. The flagship Bordeaux reference and the red wines now feature on a deep black background, highlighting the brand’s gold and white elements.
The visual for the billboard campaign emphasises a strong circular image of a barrel top that stands out against a black background, thus maximising visual impact. At the same time, accessories enrich the brand and product story.
