Fierce flavors unleashed
An iconic brand of the 2000s, Dark Dog was the leader in the energy drinks market in France before the arrival of Red Bull and Monster on the scene. Over 20 years, the brand gradually lost its luster – as well as its connection with a young and festive target audience.
But the teams have revived Dark Dog through a 360-degree creative concept, which is rolled out particularly across packaging, social media, and the website. Building on the initial work carried out by Megusta for the redesign of the flagship product and limited editions, the agency has been entrusted with the creation of new flavoured range extensions.
How can we differentiate the flavoured products while maintaining the brand’s quirky and offbeat character? Evolving the legendary cans to make them desirable, with an ongoing explosion of energy!
The agency has thus designed bold new cans. While the original historical markers—the brand’s iconic yellow and its emblem—are still very much present, one side features an illustration of a completely ‘crazy’ dog happily biting into its favourite fruits.
Cherry, Tropical, or Pink Fizz (strawberry and watermelon), each 50cl can reflects the brand’s wild and cheeky side. Everyone will find a can that suits their taste… or their mood.
